Reconnaissance Research is pleased to announce its
collaboration with non-resident research fellow Turner Stevens, as part of the new summer program with the National
Council on U.S.-Arab relations, based in Washington DC.
Mr. Stevens is a fourth-year economics honors student with
minors in international affairs and mathematics from the Georgia Institute of
Technology. Upon completing his undergraduate program, Mr. Stevens plans
to pursue a PhD program in economics to study international economics and
taxation.
He has pursued
undergraduate research focusing on inequality and paid family leave programs.
Additionally, he is a research assistant in the Georgia Institute of Technology
School of Economics where he is currently researching the effects of climate
change on public utilities.
Turner has served for three semesters as a Macro
Analyst within Georgia Tech’s Student Foundation Investments Committee, where
he has conducted market research on the energy sector and evaluations of
monetary policy.
Regarding the
programme, the Deputy CEO of Research , Yousef Al-Ghussein, stated that: “among
the center’s goals is to involve all interested people from inside and outside
Kuwait in our activities and events, and this partnership with the National
Council on U.S.-Arab Relations comes in parallel with what we seek to achieve.”
He continued: “Kuwait is rich in its human resources and its hardworking &
innovative youth, and we are happy to be able, after the establishment of the
center in late 2019, to carry out a scientific and academic program at this
level that links Kuwait's youth with their peers from the United States.”
Turner Stevens said: “It is an honor to collaborate with Reconnaissance Research as an undergraduate student. I look forward to providing readers a comprehensive understanding of economic issues within the GCC Region.”
